CURRENT EVENTS JOURNALS (File: Current Events)

Computers are part of everyday life for most Canadians. The use of computers will continue to grow, and society will continue to change as we see new developments in technology. This assignment will help you to be aware of the effects of the computer on everyday life.

One Current Events Journal assignment will be due on a day specified. Any journals received afterwards will be considered late. (Late assignments will have 50% deducted daily.)

You will review one article about computers (hardware, software, advancements in technology, their use in society, etc.). The item must be an ARTICLE (from a newspaper, magazine or Internet site) and not an advertisement. (A review of an advertisement will result in a mark of 0.)

Each of your journals must be formatted as follows:

Summary:

All journals must be 1 to 1 1/2 double spaced pages or between 200 and 250 words. Each review must be word processed in a font size no larger than 12 pt. Please use either the Courier New, Arial or Times New Roman font style and 1" margins. The article must be no more than a year old and you must attach a copy of the article to your review. Failure to do any of the preceding will result in a mark of 0.
